About Me

Climber, Outdoor enthusiast, analog film lover.
As somebody who was born and raised in Berlin, going out in the mountains might not be the first thing that comes to mind. But after my first contact with the mountains in 2006, I imminently fell in love with everything mountain-related. Spending my entire summer climbing, traveling and sleeping in my tent, I started to be the one, how always had a camera with him.
Driven by the inner will to show the beauty of the mountains to the world I started out as an adventure photographer, but quickly transitioned into becoming a Director of Photography (and sometimes director). Motion picture to me is so much more interesting than just plain photography. The combination of camera movement, sound and light allows for endless ways to tell a story.
To learn the basics of my craft, I graduated as an Audiovisual Engineer at Stuttgart Media University in 2021 (Bachelor of Engineering). The studies allowed me to get a deep insight into visual effects and post-production, yet at the same time offered me the opportunity to shape my visual eye.

Today I work as a Director of Photography and Editor, sometimes directing DP or Gaffer, on mostly outdoor and climbing-related jobs.
